What it is

Small phonics readers created by teacher Bobby Lynn Maslen and published in partnership with Scholastic. Boxed sets of 8-12 short books are arranged in stages from reading readiness through early first-grade skills, adding a few new sounds and words at a time. Workbooks and longer story books are also sold.
