Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW)

What it is

A writing program built around Andrew Pudewa's Structure and Style method, which teaches structural models such as note making and outlines, plus set stylistic techniques such as strong verbs and sentence openers. In Structure and Style for Students, a student watches a recorded class lesson (24 per year) and then completes the week's assignments from a binder, with the parent checking the work. IEW also publishes grammar, spelling, and poetry materials.
